Shallow box
~ An old fishbox makes an
ideal container, otherwise
build your own from scrap.
Approximate proportions 1' x 2' x 3'
~ Slatted base gives natural drainage, or drill holes
No need for sand and gravel layer.
~ Line the base with wet newspaper. Add bedding and
worms to one end. Feed as for any other bin, aiming to
cover the base before filling upwards.
~ Keep surface covered with wet newspaper. Needs some
type of lid to keep out light and rain
~ Not vermin proof. Not good indoors. Needs winter isolation

~ Similar principal to worm dustbin overleaf.
Comes with full instructions.
~ Liquid collects in bottom reservoir and can
be tapped of. ( Suggested use as plant
food when diluted. )
~ Mobile and vermin resistant, but needs
winter insulation - Suitable for indoor use!

insulated worm bin
~ Single board base drilled with drainage holes. ~ Lid and
sides consist of double layers of hardboard sandwiching
1" thick polystyrene. ~ Line base with moist newspaper,
add bedding and worms - Continue as per worm

insulation needed. ~ Also is vermin proof
