How to set up Other types of worm bin! Shallow box ~ An old fishbox makes an ideal container, otherwise build your own from scrap. Approximate proportions 1' x 2' x 3' ~ Slatted base gives natural drainage, or drill holes No need for sand and gravel layer. ~ Line the base with wet newspaper. Add bedding and worms to one end. Feed as for any other bin, aiming to cover the base before filling upwards. ~ Keep surface covered with wet newspaper. Needs some type of lid to keep out light and rain ~ Not vermin proof. Not good indoors. Needs winter isolation Commercially available plastic worm bin ~ Similar principal to worm dustbin overleaf. Comes with full instructions. ~ Liquid collects in bottom reservoir and can be tapped of. ( Suggested use as plant food when diluted. ) ~ Mobile and vermin resistant, but needs winter insulation - Suitable for indoor use!    D.I.Y
